Annual Meeting

LASSO AnnuaL MEETING

LASSO 2022: The role of the linguist in society

The LASSO Annual Meeting is distributed across the LASSO area, from Louisiana to the Pacific Coast.
The meeting includes research presentations, workshops, and opportunities for members to connect and share their knowledge.

We welcome papers in all areas of linguistics including, but not limited to applied linguistics, linguistic variation, languages in contact, language policy and planning, language attitudes and ideologies, syntax, phonetics and phonology, etc.

This year we especially encourage papers addressing any of the following topics: language in health care, language in education, language and social justice, community languages in the Midwest and the Northeast, language revitalization, and sociolinguistics.

Submissions by junior faculty and graduate students are especially welcome.
